Patio Doors

We are about to take on a kitchen extension and the list of decisions is, or at least seem like, endless! One though one is how the patio door should look like and whether they should be folding, French, special designed you name it. Fortunately, I found this picture on Beautiful Homes US and these are the doors I want!

Spring by Slettvoll

I have been raving about the Norwegian company Slettvoll before, but I just love their stuff and style. Their spring look is fresh blue and white with a modern Scandinavian feel. Love it!

Must Have Book!

At my latest trip to Slettvoll I had a quick look in the Hennie Interior book and it is amazing, a must have for inspirational pictures for anyone who like the classic, time less Slettvoll style. The book is a selection of Helene Hennie's work as an interior designer. I especially fell in love with this kitchen picture, it's exactly what I want our kitchen to look like when we are done!

Cosy New England look by mainly using what you can get at IKEA! I like the look of having the two picture ledges behind the sofa and the black furniture mixed with the white.

Great Mix of New and Old!

I came across these on one of my scouting for inspiration tours on one of my top estate agents. I don't necessary like the architecture, which looks like sixties but the owner has managed to mix old and new to make it very cosy!

Summertime by Lexington

Summertime is closing in on us, I am hoping for the same weather as it has been the last week here. Lexington's summer collection is as always very inspiring, with a distinct seaside touch.

Spring Flowers

I love tulips, it is one of my absolute favourite flowers. In the new house I might actually try to plant them in the garden. Like the mix of the Japanese maple and the tulips, great colors! Pictures are from Skona Hem.

Summer House in New England Style

It's the time of the year when we gear up for the sunnier, warmer and lighter season  and as light, bright and airy as a summer house should be below! We don't have the big windows, but I am taking note of the mirror opposite the window, making the room even lighter and the attic room!

Shades of Blue

For me shades of blue equals summer living. This year the sofa will get blue pillows in different shapes and forms. One of them is this stripy number from Pottery Barn the rest has been shopped at Day Home.

International Inspiration

One of the Swedish estate agents I regularly use for inspiration just got bought by Sotheby's International, which means even more fun as you get access to 'snooping'at houses in all kind of fancy locations around the world! The below are a house in the US. Excellent inspiration for the new house, I am thinking of laying this color floors, have wood panel in the hall, have double French doors on the new kitchen extension and paint white! Love the picture of the vintage yacht over the fire place too and the model sail boat too!

New Scandinavian Classic

These candleholders from Asplunds is a new Scandinavian Design classics that keep appearing in more and more property ads and magazines. Skandium in London have also started stocking them.  Designed by Thomas Sandell and available in aluminum and a few selected colors, such as red and black.  I absolutely love my pair!

I Love Pottery Barn!

Said it before and will probably say it again, I love Pottery Barn! I just came back from the US and had a quick Pottery Barn fix: a few summery items, the Pottery Barn Colors Spring & Summer 2011 deck and loads of ideas! Also just down loaded the first Pottery Barn catalouge using the iPad app, next best to actually getting them in the post!

The Perfect Shade of Grey
