White Summer House

This lovely summer home is a white summer dream located by the water outside Stockhlm in Sweden. I think I am not the only one who would love to spend lazy summer days in this house. The home has been interior designed by the British Sweidh duo at Stockholm's W8. Pictures are from Skona Hem.

At Home with White

This amazing white house belongs to the Danish photographer Birgitta Wolfang Drejes. Birgittas speciality as a photographer is homes, but this is the very first time her own home has been featured in an interior magazine ( Swedish Skona Hem if you want to read more use the link) As always love Scandinavian homes!

A lot of kitchen talk at the moment, sorry about that... Kitchen extractor fans, not very exciting, but can totally change the look of a kitchen. Pictures below are from the Swedish distributor Fjaraskupan. I like the red hood below, gived the classic kitchen a contemporary twist!

Kitchen Tiles

Extension is going ahead and the build is, fingers crossed, starting on Monday next week and today's lunch will be spent at Fired Earth to pick tiles, very exciting!  I'm thinking white rectangular in metro style for a classic style that will go well with the shaker style kitchen units.

Kitchens and More Kitchens

The kitchen extension is going ahead beginning of next week and it just feels like we have not made any decisions on work tops, floors, tiles nothing and of these really should have already been ordered... Using my very large inspirational files to expedite.

The things that has been decided to date are: stainless steel fridge- freezer, metro style tiles (color TBC), kitchen island with oak worktop and titan 1 lamps times two...

Inspiration

My inspiratuon file is as it is currently quite large and the file is continously growing. With a new house in a slightly different style (more country cottage file then city pad even though located in the city) new pictures are added almost every day! It is amazing how many stylish kitchen, houses, bathrooms there are out there!

More Kitchens!

Swedish kitchen designer Lindhult joined the trend for New England interiors and are providing both a kitchen and a bathroom in Newport style (and Homes & Garden used the bathroom pictures in their July issue.)  I like the panels above the sink even though that might be too country for our kitchen.

New England Houses

Love the New England architecture: big windows, porches and wood panel in soft colors. I wonder if you would get planning for one in London...
