Happy Summer

Pink, white and light green is such a great color combo! I'm adding this combo with kiwi tea lights and a very nicely designed bottle of rose in the new kitchen.

Garden Design

Next biggish project is to sortthe garden out and hopefully we will have a nice warm September this year so we can get to use it this year. One of the plants we are definitely getting is alliums, a new discovery for me and like the fact that they stand above the average height flower and the color.

Tolix the French Classic

I love tolix stools and chairs, can be used in any room inside or outside and are very comfy! The new kitchen island will have two or three tall tolix stools that are on order. Picture below is from another blogg, unfortunatly forgot who...

Porches to Love

Porches are a detail not to be missed if you want your house to have a New England style. I love the idea of having one, but living in a very different property (London Victorian terreced house) adding a porch to the back would mean compromising with light to the kitchen. When I get a house where I can add a porch I will have one with swing and all!

Windows in the Eaves

As I mentioned before, after the kitchen is done the next major project on the house will be the loft allowing for a bedroom/ study and another bath to be added to the house. There is not a whole lot you can do with the plans as the planning department is only approving the box standard build, but I think I might try to get windows like this approved. Like how they use the full height of the loft and add some character.

American Living

I love the typical styled New England living rooms where you have windows on either side of the fire place. Makes the room so nice, bright and light almost like a sun room!

White Scandinavian Interior

One of my inspirational sites are Alvhem, an estate agent on the west coast of Sweden. Haven't been on their site for some time and they have added a new insirational gallery for different rooms. I especially liked the below two that captures the Scandinavian blond living perfectly.

The Danish company House Doctor does funky interior design assesories. The owner of the company's home has been featured home has been featured in a few blogs and magazines lately. I love the Scandinavian style with the white washed floors and pop of colors, could move right in!  For more inspiration also see their blog!
