Skona Hem featured this home in their latest issue, unfortunately not as many pictures online as in the magazine, which is too bad because I loved the living room. But also like the idea of building in an olive tree in the kitchen worktop. Also love the rug in the hallway (from Day.dk a shop I feel very drawn to at the moment) and might get that for our bedroom that is in need of a facelift.
We got our house a Christmas present in form of a new dining table, all set up and go just before Christmas so don't really need any additional dining table inspiration pictures, but just had to show you this. Love the shabby chicness and the wall color in this picture. And how nice would it be to have a open fire in the kitchen too!
...belonging to Hilary Swank. Modest but with large windows letting in masses of light (plus clever mirrors adding to that) Love the cozy corner in the study where a sofa been squeezed in between the shelves.. Pictures from the last edition of Elle Decor.
After I found these amazing pictures I decided that next year there will be an alternative Christmas tree and this is what we are doing! Now the only think I need to do is to get a non-evergreen small tree for the garden and a beautiful silvery pot and we're all sorted! Pictures are borrowed from the blog Svenngarden.
Christmas decorations doesn't have to be green, red or gold. Have a look at the below pictures from Swedish magazine Allt i Hemmet (translates as 'Everything for the Home'). I love the warm purple with silver and is my choice of the year too.
This Scandinavian home featured in the Norwegian interior glossy BoBedre is decorated in a theme e recognize, all white with black and grey accents. I love it and think it looks and feels super cozy! Chabby chic and Gustavian in one!
Another beautiful home from Alvhem. I think this is slightly different then their usual styling and is more serene. I love this all white home accentuated with black and white accessories. I wonder whether the living room lamp it own designed or bought? Also very much like the '5' picture, will have to find a reason to print and frame a number just like that...
Who would not want a beach apartment in a arm climate to escape to this time a year? This Miami home was shot for Elle Decor's November issue and is super chic and has a great sea view terrace. Design mixture of modern and retro, especially like the Scandinavian dining area (both chairs and table are Scandinavian design classics) and the media room within the room.
This lovely Swedish home was featured in Swedish Skona Hem's last issue. The owner wanted a new look and feel as to his home and created together with an interior designer this fantastic, international looking space. The wood is all stained oak and the soft furniture natural colors, a renovation I would be very proud of!
The blog Apartment Therapy had a great post a few days back on alternative space saving ideas for a Christmas tree if you don't have the space for an actual tree. Three of the best ideas in my view below.
Decorating the window sill with twigs from Bo Bedre.
Post-it tree by Living Etc and the Christmas tree printout.
Stockholm Vitt is a blog about interior design with a Scandinavian/ New England theme.
Stockholm Vitt is a shade of white, a shade very common in Stockholm apartments. I have chosen this name as I think it perfectly captures the modern simple Scandinavian design that I love in two words.
For me Stockholm Vitt is white walls, stripped white washed floor boards, modern Scandinavian Design, simplicity and elegance, Stockholm's archipelago, sailing as well as fantastic summer houses in the Hamptons.
