Hallways by Pottery Barn
I love Pottery Barn, which for anyone who follows this blog has been hard to miss. Today's inspiration is hallways from this great company too, that if you didn't know started as one shop in NYC 50 years ago. (I wouldn't mind the dog either...)

Tolomeo Mega
I love Tolomeo lamps from Italian Artemide, below is their Tolomeo Mega. If I had a large living room this lamp would make it to the top of the 'to-buy' list. The lamp is a floor standing and can be used in the living room, dining room or as a bedroom lamp, as it features a fully adjustable arm it is very handy.

Lanterns
I love to lit candles on the terrace, but as we are living with a roof terrace, it is always windy and candles that are not in a lantern would not burn for long. Therefore I am always on the after new ideas and updates and recently got one similar to the nautical lanterns below right. The pictures are from Pottery Barn and Tine K.

Scandinavian by Marie Claire Maison
I'm trying to keep me French going by reading the French interior magazine Marie Claire Maison (and killing two birds with one stone...) and found this fantastic home in located in the Swedish beach report/ suburb to Malmo Falsterbo. I love the light and the big windows. Exactly what I would want in my dream house.

Dreaming of Costal Living...
If I could chose I would always live so I could sea the ocean, preferably from my bedroom (bed), but if not at least have a beach cottage to disappear to for a weekend or week. One day... just because, if nothing else, it woud not be possible to be grumpy living by the sea, but until that happens I just have to decorate like I am...

Destinations - Vitmolle Badhotell
Vitmolle Badhotell on the Swedish 'apple coast' Osterlen is well worth a visit if you are in the area. The hotel has a great old Swedish summer resident feel to it and the restaurant is fantastic.

Studio in the City
A very stylish white studio apartment in Stockholm was featured in the May issue of the Swedish design magazine Skona Hem. The apartment is not large only 38m2 (or about 418 sq ft), but looks like it has all the essentials and to be a city home. The owner refurbished it when she bought it a few years ago and wanted it to have the look of a luxury hotel room. The largest inspiration was Carrie's NYC flat (from Sex and the City), the only thing that they were not able to fit in was the large walk in wardrobe! My three favorities in this home is the comparbly large balcony, the fire place and the bathroom, which is stylish contemporary yet very classic.

A beach house in London
I found Annabel's not so typical Wandsworth (South West London) home on one a site for film locations. Annabel's house on the outside might look like a typical London terraced house, but is on the inside made up as a dream beach retreat. What a fantastic place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city after a long day!

Seaside cottage by OKA
OKA was one of the first companies that started marketing their furniture and assesories not just item by item but as a nice looking living room, bedroom or outdoor space . As they started of as a mail order comany only I would say this was a great idea. They now have several stores as well as mail order and ship any where in the world, which in itself is quite amazing. Below from the country and seaside cottage inspiration.
