I am going to a wedding today, which instantly makes me think about fresh cut flowers. Fresh cut flowers (not necessarily in the form of bride bouquet though) add a soft edge to your home, not to mention a nice smell! I use seasonal flowers to add to the homely feel. Tulips and magnolias in spring, white amaryllis' around Christmas and orchids for anytime of the year.
