I love Helene Hennie designs and the way Slettvoll is showing their customer the lifestyle you could have. Today this cozy picture of outdoor living caught my eye. Absolutely love the lantern with with the rope detail!

Back in business after a great and inspirational holiday. Anyone with tips on how we can relocate to San Fransisco let me know! Having said that the weather in London been great for the last few days and I have been pottering in the garden making it ready for long lazy summer days and nights! In today's mail I got a few fall pre-view pictures from Lexington and although they are fall preview and we haven't reach summer yet, though I share them.

As I have mentioned before I'm very happy with how the kitchen turned out after the renovation and I don't think there is anything I would do different (except for a design change of one of the windows, but that is easily rectified). However, having said that I am continuing to gather great ideas and lovely looking pictures of kitchens for the next project. The below is from the traditional English kitchen maker Martin Moore, all hand-made and super expensive but oh so nice! Unfortunately the nicest pictures are not possible to save so I would suggest a browse on the website. Especially like the 'Georgian Townhouse' and 'Victorian Villa' under Gallery.

This country style kitchen from Swedish Marbodal is is called 'cottage'. I don't think there is any cottagy about them at all as both of them are, what most people would consider massive kitchens! I would agree more with country or classic country, as they have the rustic feel to them, anyway they are both lovely!

Very soon the season for outdoor living will be here! I just can't wait for it. Last year our garden (and house) was a building site and by the time it was finished and possible to enjoy it was fall already. This year I can see us not leaving the house at weekends, enjoying entertaining outside from long lunches to cuddling in front of our new (outdoor) fireplace! Slettvoll has just released pictures of their new garden collection, as always classic and very beautiful pieces. I like!

Cool, but comfy bachelor pad in Southern California. The home owner is native Canadian and have successfully managed to mix some Canadian feel with the Californian white light and surf style. I like the idea of hanging a surf board on the wall, it's like you can almost smell the ocean and love the large industrial kitchen light. So cool!

Today is a Pottery Barn day! I haven't been in absolutely ages and looking forward to seeing what this season has in store and am keen to have a look at this modular bathroom storage that would go perfect under out bathroom window!

There seem to be an abundance of beautiful homes in California, more so then anywhere else. I wonder why that is...is Californians just more interested in having beautiful looking houses, is it just the climate that makes anyone ant to create a beautiful home to enjoy inside out? Or is it just Country Living that are extraordinary talented in finding these gems? This sunny range is a home very much to my own taste, the bottle collection, the bus-blind, the sisal rug, the pendant lights in the kitchen, the white walls you name it. Thanks for sharing it with us! Read more

Finally time for some, sun, skiing and snow. Can't wait! Wishing our accommodation will be as lovely as this Norwegian winter resort designed by Helene Hennie in typical Slettvoll style. Pretty much exactly what I would do if decorating a comfortable winter holiday cabin. I have been promised our cabin is decorated in Ralph Lauren style so have high hopes...might post pictures later!

Even though I am happy with the kitchen we very recently installed and not considering changing it in the near future I'm as always checking out new and inspiring ideas. Today's inspirational kitchen is from the Swedish company Kvanum and is a shaker style kitchen with walnut counter top. The darker work top works really well with the white and the white washed pine floors. Lovely bright and spacious kitchen!

The industrial trend is as strong as ever and these lovely pictures are from a Swedish home recently featured in the magazine Residence (which can be described as the Swedish interior magazine with the fanciest houses or according to themselves Sweden's most beautiful homes). I love the Therese Sennerholt prints even though they are starting to hang in every man's house and the red brick wall that gives the home a warmer atmosphere despite the concrete and industrial touch.
The home of the MrsVilla Nagorlunds blog. Very very Swedish with the limed floors, bare windows and white walls!
White living is never boring (beige can be but not white), dress it up with fluffy cushions and wood and you'll create a cozy living spa...
I found these very inspirational pictures on the estate agent Skeppsholmen.se a few weeks back. I think it is one of the Willa Nordic houses...
Found this lovely picture of a large living room when I was browsing through my files. The picture is most likely from one of the fancier St...
