    I have never seen anything like that fireplace! Exquisite! Is that common in Sweden?

      It is an old fireplace called 'kakelugn' and yes quite common in apartments from the 1900s. Beautiful and an excellent source for heating if they work.
      There are some companies that reproduce them too.
