New Kitchen?

Even though I am happy with the kitchen we very recently installed and not considering changing it in the near future I'm as always checking out new and inspiring ideas. Today's inspirational kitchen is from the Swedish company  Kvanum and is a shaker style kitchen with walnut counter top. The darker work top works really well with the white and the white washed pine floors. Lovely bright and spacious kitchen!

  1. It looks like a vanilla cake with just a tease of chocolate layer on top! But the best touch here is the pine flooring. The texture gives the kitchen a rough edge.

  3. I'm happy to have found your blog! My husband and I have traveled to Denmark several times and I'm inspired by their sophisticated simple taste in interior design. So much so, that I've just purchased 1000 sq ft of wide plank pine for my home that I plan to whitewash like you've done in this photo. Can you provide any details on the mix you used to achieve this look? Thank you!

    1. Hi Amy, thanks for your kind words! I would suggest get the floor limed and then white washed with oil. Osmo's products are excellent!
